The Canadian PBC Society is a registered charity and a national organization with regional groups made up of patients and other concerned individuals. Our purpose is to provide support and encouragement, education and information, and fundraising for PBC-related medical research. We also receive support and strength from medical, legal advisers and other PBC associations/groups in France, the UK and the U.S.

All of our regional groups are quite active and run regular events and meetings. As we function solely on donation from our membership and concerned individuals and groups, many of the regional groups also host annual fundraising events to help raise money.

A major goal of the Society is to support and fund research in treatment and basic causation. We are currently supporting research into the Genetics of PBC- this may open up a new avenue of prevention, cause, treatment and possibly a cure.

We appreciate your interest and encourage your participation in our group. If you are interested in getting involved, becoming a member, or finding out more about a group in your area, please drop us a line. Contact us.
